Nicole Branagh

Nicole Branagh

Nicole Branagh(USA AVP Player) is my freakin' hero! She is so good at volleyball and her focus, pose, determination, and cool are admirable. Although she can't really compete with Misty May and Keri Walsh that is only because they are the perfect team. Branagh is a dedicated player with loads of natural talent. She plays as a seasoned athlete even though she hasn't been on the AVP circuit all that long. She's only been in the spotlight a couple years.

Brenda-Mish

It's pretty crazy to think it was way back in July of '08 that Brenda left on her mish. I couldn't have forseen the impact knowing her would have on me back when I first emailed her since finding out she would be my roommate at Nauvoo 310. I had a lot of fun playing basketball and volleyball with B-Dizzle and doing late night weight lifting. I soon realized the spiritual strength and integrity that Brenda has. I saw it when she talked about the past and how she had made it to where she was then. I saw it when she studied the scriptures and Preach My Gospel. I have looked up to Brenda for a long time and have felt truly blessed to have known her. She is an incredibly driven and knowledgable person. Every letter I got from Connecticut in the 3 places I have lived since her mish started have been sunshine in my day. Now that I get emails from Rhode Island it is the same. I have loved every second of watching Brenda grow out of her shyness and quietness. I have been privileged to be apart of Brenda's life. I'd like to be more like her as the years pass by.

One more day and more to deal with

I have been reflecting a lot on my depression and I just can't seem to figure out why it's worse now than it has been in over 5 years. I am at a total loss as to what has caused this. If I subscribed to most people's, including my mom's, point of view I would blame myself and tell myself to "get over it", "change", or "toughen up." I don't wish major depression on anyone no matter how ignorant they are-it's an awful thing to deal with. People do not understand and in most cases do not emphasize; they certainly don't sympathize. It makes getting out of bed like climbing mount everest and some people can't do that. It makes daily activities and function almost cease in severe cases.
